"Super sausages, very tasty." "Little Moorland, Berkshire, Pork Sausages were chosen for our bonfire barbecue, as the school supports local and ethical food. It was also an opportunity to try the sausages.
They proved to be very popular with both adults and students, with very favourable comments, particularly from local parents." Tasty sausages - taste real!

berkshire pork sausagesLittle Moorland Berkshire Pork Sausages ~ Our Berkshire Pork sausages are produced from our naturally, home reared Berkshire pig herd, full of real flavour yet low in fat content. The Berkshire breed is one of the oldest native pig breeds, which originated in the Thames Valley – hence the name. It became almost extinct in the mid 1800s but is now a well re-established traditional breed. The Berkshire pig is placid in nature with a strong constitution, ideally suited to traditional, natural rearing and finishing, which gives the high quality of meat expected of the Little Moorland brand, making a wonderful complement to our Red Ruby Devon Beef. Peggy Pig (our sociable sow!) and Ben
Pork from the Berkshire breed has a high proportion of lean meat to fat, with a good flavour, which means our sausages are highly recommended by our customers and much sought after, producing negligible residual fat when cooked so ideal for such dishes as traditional ‘Toad in the Hole’ But don’t just take our word for it, read our customers’ comments and try a pack when you are passing our farm shop, you won’t be disappointed!
